Last Sunday after some early showers the day was looking better so I headed off down towards St Ives.
Not sure of an exact destination I ended up in Zennor.
Having never been here before I took a walk down to the headland.
There was a fresh nor' westerly blowing and it was feeling autumnal to say the least!
The sun was out though and it took the edge of the chill in the air.
The coastal path here was still out of action due to an extreme weather event that occurred in May that totally washed away the path.
Zennor is a good place for a walk and there is plenty to see in this area.
It was late afternoon now and the sun was going down.
I decided to head off quickly to nearby Botallack to see if I could manage some sunset photography but the sun dissapointingly dropped behind a bank of cloud.
I managed some pics of the engine houses and chimneys in the fading light and when the sun was gone I headed home.
Another place to return and explore some more!!

Cardinham Woods
A late afternoon walk through Cardinham Woods near Bodmin.
I needed to go to Trago Mills near Liskaerd to see a man about some carpets and on the way back home decided to take a peek at Cardinham Woods.
This beautiful area is looked after by The Forestry Commission and is set up for some good walks, bike rides and horse riding through the beautiful valley.
Some of the trees were full of colour and I found them a lovely change from the Elms and Pine Trees of Scilly.
There is a small cafe near the car park, unfortunately it was closed by the time I was there.
The sun was going down fast as I walked around the forest.
There are numerous paths to take and I will return here to explore some more at some point.
Information sheets are provided at the car park so you won't be getting lost in the trees on the way around, all paths are well sign posted to although some information boards were without info.....
All in all a very lovely place to be.
